HP PageWide 300, 400, 500 series - Options for Installing the HP Software in Microsoft Windows Server Environments

Select from the following three options to install the HP software in a Windows Server environment:

Option one: HP Universal Print Driver version 6.2.0 and later

For a "Print Only" solution, HP offers the HP Universal Print Driver (UPD). For more information on the UPD, click the following link to visit the UPD Web site: www.hp.com/go/UPD

To obtain the UPD software, click Download now on the UPD Web site.

Option two: In-Box CD installation

HP offers enhanced software on the CD that shipped with your product. The CD includes software for print functionality plus additional software capabilities, which can be installed via a command-line installation (targeted at IT and System Administrators) with select Microsoft Windows Server editions.

For more information on how to install the software via the command-line method, please refer to the IT Administrators Install Guide. A link to this guide can be found in the IT Administrators install guide section at the end of this document.

Option three: Basic Driver for IT Professional Web Pack

You can download the Full Software solution Basic Driver for IT Professional Web Pack (for IT professional use only) from the HP Web site, and then extract the files using a decompression program such as 7-Zip and install via command-line with select Microsoft Windows Server editions.

To obtain the Basic Driver for IT Professional Web Pack, visit the HP Customer Support Web site, and then select the appropriate Microsoft Windows Server edition on the PageWide Pro Service Software download page.

Follow the steps below to go to the HP Customer Support Web site and download the driver.

Click www.hp.com/go/support to go to the HP Customer Support Web site.
On the HP Customer Support Web page, type your printer model in the search field, and then click Enter to go to the product support page.
On the product support page, click the Get drivers, software, and firmware link to go to the Drivers & Software page.
On the Drivers & Software page, select your Windows Server operating system from the drop-down menu. A list of available driver and software options will display below the drop-down menu.
Find Basic Driver for IT Professional Web Pack in the list, and then click Download.
