HP PageWide 300, 400, 500 Series - A "Printer Failure" message and "0x610000fa" error code display on the printer control panel

A "Printer Failure: There is a problem with the printer or print system..." error message displays on the printer control panel along with a "0x610000fa" error code.

The "0x610000fa" error code displays on the control panel when the auxiliary paper tray that is connected to the product is not compatible with HP PageWide 300, 400, or 500 Series printers. The auxiliary paper tray that is connected belongs to another printer.

To resolve this error, remove the incompatible auxiliary paper tray, and then power cycle the printer.
