This topic gives description about how to load aroll.
The following steps provide the complete procedure for this topic.
You can unload a roll of paper from the printer without using the front panel.
Ensure that the printer is not printing and that the lock light on the drawer is off.
Open the drawer.
Do not stand on the drawer: the printer could fall over.
Remove the paper from the feeding slot.
Open the locking levers on the left and right hubs.
Slide the hubs to the side so that you can remove the roll.
Remove the roll (or the core, if only the core is left).
Close the locking levers on the left and right hubs.
Close the drawer.
This is the standard procedure for loading a roll of paper into your printer.
Tap , then Load.
If the printer is not printing and the lock light on the drawer is off, you can skip this step.
Open the drawer.
Do not stand on the drawer: the printer could fall over.
You can load more than one roll at the same time.
Load heavier rolls in upper drawers; they can weigh up to 18 kg40 lb.
Open the locking levers on the left and right hubs.
Move the hubs outwards (they are linked) to make room for the roll.
Place the roll into the drawer between the hubs, with the paper edge as shown.
Do not load the roll at an angle, like this:
Slide the hubs back towards the center so that they engage with the roll.
Ensure that the hubs are fitted tightly to the roll on both sides.
Important: Close the locking levers on the left and right hubs.
Feed the paper into the appropriate slot: the front slot for the front roll, the rear slot for the rear roll.
The rear roll may need extra roll-ups to facilitate automatic feeding. Do not stop feeding until the paper is automatically advanced.
Continue feeding until you hear a beep.
If the paper edge is not straight and clean, you can cut it off with the appropriate button (there is a button for each roll in the drawer).
When you press the button, the paper is advanced; when you release the button, the paper is cut.
Remember to remove the cut strip of paper.
Close the drawer when you have finished loading rolls into it.
Select the paper type on the front panel. The front panel remembers the last paper type loaded in this position, in case that helps.
When you are ready, tap Finish and check. The printer checks the position, width, and length of the loaded paper. The width and length are displayed on the main screen.
If you do not select a paper type, the front panel waits a while and then executes Finish and check automatically.
