Samsung Laser Printers - White Smoke While Printing

The following can cause white smoke when printing.

  • Damp paper being used while printing.

Try the following to resolve:

  1. Remove the paper from the paper tray and replace with new, dry paper.

    Damp paper can cause white smoke or steam due to the heat inside the printer.

  2. Remove the toner cartridge(s) from the printer and make sure no packaging material is on them or inside the printer.

If the printer is giving off an electrical smell, then stop use and unplug the printer. Click Finding Service for Samsung Printers to find a Samsung service location.
