HP Designjet 70/90/110plus/130 Printer - Print Quality Issues Using Transparency Media

問題:
Print Quality issue using Transparency film.
解決策
Print Quality issues using Transparency media:
The DesignJet 90 & 130 is a sRGB printer by default and is optimized for sRGB. The Designjet 70 and 110+ are technical printers and are mostly used for printing line drawings, and so does not have a color management option under the printer driver. They rely mostly on the applications to manage colors.
HP Designjet 90 and 130 printer series:
On a Windows PC, you can select either ColorSmart/sRGB, ICM, or Application managed colors from HP Designjet 90 and 130 printer driver properties.
While printing on transparency media, ensure that the paper type is selected as “Transparency Film”.
After the paper type is selected as Transparency Film, under HP Designjet 90 & 130 printing preferences, the color management option will be grayed out and by default is selected as ColorSmart/sRGB as these models are optimized for sRGB color space.
Also, Under Advanced Paper settings, the Maximum detail option will be grayed out because the saturation of the image is of primary importance rather than the maximum detailing when printing on transparency media.
If the wrong color space or print quality with higher resolution is selected from the application, for example, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and so on, which does not match with the above settings recommended by the printer driver, then there would be print quality issues printing on transparency media.
With transparencies, this option is not available unless you have a custom ICC Profile for the media.
HP Designjet 70/110+ Printer series:
HP Designjet 70 and 110+ printers rely on the applications to manage colors and are not recommended for printing photograph or graphics.
Color management is not available on HP Designjet 70 & 110+ printers.
In order to resolve the issue with print quality on transparency film, perform the following steps:
  1. Ensure that the Transparency film is compatible with the HP Designjet Ultra low end printers.
These are special Inkjet transparency media and has a white strip at the leading edge of the transparency so that the printer can recognize the leading edge while loading the media.

  4. Use the following settings in the application to ensure that the colors are printed correctly (for example, Abode Photoshop, Illustrator, and so on):
    • Select Working space as: sRGB
