HP LaserJet M1522/M2727/HP Color LaserJet CM1312/CM2320 Multifunction Printers - Error: "HP LaserJet service stopped"

Cancel the software installation.

Uninstaller the full HP software (if any) from Programs and Features and make sure there is no other HP Printer software or UPD drivers installed. Check in Devices and Printers.

Remove "HP" folder from C:\Program Files.

Clear "temp" files. (use C:\DOCUME~1\RGates\LOCALS~1\Temp command in Run and delete all files inside temp folder).

Clear the Recycle Bin.

Restart the PC.

Access Services.msc and make sure HP LaserJet Servicesis running.

If not, try to start the service manually. (Check C drive - the HP software should have been extracted to the root directory. Open Setup folder > hpplaserjetservice and right click on hpplaserjetservice.msi and select Install. Now, Access Services.msc and right-click and select properties and select Start. Verify again, HP LaserJet services should be running now (see the Figure below).

Now begin the full software installation.
