The printer may not awake from Sleep/Auto Off mode, even when all wake events are performed. This includes:
- Sending a print job
- Touching the control panel
- Receiving a fax
- Opening a door
Additional symptoms might include:
- Unable to access the the HP Embedded Web Server (EWS)
- Unable to ping the device over the network
- The printer drops off the network
- When waking from sleep, the printer hangs on the Initializing... screen
These issues are typically associated to network connected printers.
The printer’s power light may be blinking, but in order to wake up the printer it must be turned off and then on again.
