HP Designjet Printers - Accessing the Service ID Number

Not all Designjet printers have a Service Id number. Use the table below to determine if your printer has a Service Id.

If your printer does not have a Service Id number, it is not correct (e.g. 00000) or the Warranty Watch tool does not accept it, then type “n/a” in the Warranty Watch tool.

There are two different ways to get the service ID:

1. Using the hp designjet maintenance tool:
   1. From the hp designjet software in your computer, select the printer.
   2. Click Next.
      This opens the maintenance application page:
   3. Select Advanced Functions.
   4. Select Get Printer Information.
      You will find the service ID in the Printer Identification Section.
2. Printing the information settings:
   1. The printer must be on and in an idle status.
   2. Make sure media is loaded into the printer.
   3. Hold the Power button (large button) pressed and press the Resume button (oval button) 4 times, and then release all buttons.

Follow the steps below to get the service ID:

1. On the printer's front panel, select the Setup menu.
2. Select the Printer Information menu.
3. Press the up or down buttons to scroll to Service Id.

Follow the steps below to get the service ID:

1. On the printer's front panel, select the Setup menu.
2. Select the Printer Information menu.
3. You can select either View or Print depending on how you want to have the information.

There are three different ways to get the service ID.

If you only want to view the service ID number:

1. On the printer’s front panel:
   1. Select the Printer Setup icon.
   2. Select the Information menu.
   3. Select Show printer information.
   4. Press the up or down buttons to scroll to Service Id.
2. On the printer’s Web Server:
   1. Select the Information menu tab.
   2. Select Status Usage option.
   Follow the steps below to print the Service ID number:
3. On the printer’s front panel:
   1. Select the Printer Setup icon.
   2. Select the Information menu.
   3. Select Internal prints.
   4. Select Print Service info.

There are two different ways to get the service ID.

If you only want to view it:

1. Select the Printer Setup icon.
2. Select the Utilities menu.
3. Select Statistics (only appears in full menu mode).
4. Press the up or down buttons to scroll to Service Id.

Follow the steps below to print the Service ID number:

1. On the printer's front panel, select the Printer Setup icon.
2. Select the Utilities menu.
3. Select Test prints.
4. Select Service config.
