HP PageWide Pro 700 series - "Format Problem" error displays on front panel when trying to print from USB thumb drive

Issue Description

This issue may appear if there is a bad or corrupted thumb drive in the rear port of the printer and the user tries to print a file from a thumb drive in the front USB port. A “Format Problem” error message displays on the front panel.

Workaround/Solution

Remove any USB thumb drive that is plugged into the rear port.
