Samsung Laser Printers - IP Conflict Error

  caution:

• Although Samsung printers support DHCP, it is recommended that most users set a static IP address to maintain trouble-free connectivity.
• SyncThru Web Service is not an application installed on the PC or Mac; it is installed via the web-based control panel for the printer.

1. Open SyncThru Web Service. To do this, enter the printer's IP address into a web browser address bar, or click Printer/Device Settings in Smart Panel/Easy Printer Manager.

   note:

   The IP address provided will be a number like "192.168.1.1". If an error shows, or SyncThru is not displayed when typing in the printer's address, check the following:

   • Make sure the printer is on.
   • Verify the printer is connected to the same network as the corresponding computer.
   • If blank, try a different Web browser (Internet Explorer, Safari, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, etc.)

2. Select Network Settings at the top of the SyncThru page, and then click TCP/IPv4 on the left side of the Network Settings navigation menu.

   note:

   If Network Settings is not available on the top menu bar, click Login in the upper right corner of the SyncThru screen. The default SyncThru user/password is admin/sec00000.

3. Click the drop-down menu to change the IP Address Assignment Method field, from Automatically to Manually. Enter the new IP information, and then click Apply at the top of the page.

   note:

   If an IP address is already in the field, that IP address becomes static once the assignment method is changed to Manual.

4. After applying changes, click the "X" at the top right corner of the window to exit.
