Sprout by HP - How to Backup and Restore Sprout Workspace Data

Sprout Workspace saves your projects and documents in a hidden folder on your hard-drive, saving all of your projects and documents together as one collection, instead of as separate files.
Backing up your 3D models
You can make a backup copy of your 3D models in a single archive file using the built-in Backup and Restore feature in Workspace.
This does not back up your captured images, projects, or documents.
from the Captured Images folder in your Windows Picture folder or any scanned documents or projects in your Windows Documents folders. To manually back up your Sprout items, manually copy the Pictures\Captured Images folder and the Documents\Sprout folder.
  note:
A backup file backs up and restores only the projects for the current user, and not all users on the system.
  1. Locate and tap the menu button on the top right edge of the mat.
  2. In the menu, tap Settings.

To save all of your Sprout 3D models, you must repeat these steps for each user who has any 3D models.
Restoring your 3D models
Follow the steps below to restore your 3D models.
  note:
The restoration process replaces all of the Sprout 3D models for the user with those stored in the backup file. You will not be able to mix and match projects between backup files and what is currently on the system.
  1. Locate and tap the menu button on the top right edge of the Sprout Home screen.
  2. In the menu, tap Settings.

Backing up your Sprout data with a third-party backup utility
To back up your Sprout projects, documents, and images using a computer backup utility, configure the backup to include the Sprout files in your regular backup.
  • Captured images - To back up image files captured by your Sprout, include your Windows Pictures folder, including the subfolder named Captured Images as part of your backup.
  • Scanned documents and Projects - To back up your Sprout document and project files, include your Windows Documents folder, including the subfolder named Sprout as part of your backup.
  • All Sprout items - Configure the backup program to include the hidden localappdata folder. Find this file in Windows File Explorer by typing one of the following in the address bar:
    • %localappdata%
    • C:\Users\<your account name>\ AppData\Local
