HP Designjet T120, T520, T730, T830, T920, T930, T1500, T1530, T2500 & T2530 Printer Series - Mobile Printing: How to print from iOS devices

In order to print from iOS mobile devices you need to make sure that your device is connected to the same network as the printer. The basic steps to connect your device to the printer are explained in further detail in this video.

Minimum firmware version requirements for Mobile Printing:

HP Designjet T120 & T520:
- Firmware version greater than or equal to AXP2CN1543BR.
HP Designjet T730 & T830:
- Firmware version greater than or equal to 1544B.
HP Designjet T920, T930, T1500, T1530, T2500 & T2530:
- Firmware version greater than or equal to MRY_04_01_00.2.

What can be expected?

Photos will be printed large in order to fill the paper that is loaded in the printer, preserving the aspect ratio of the photo, without clipping.
PDF documents will be printed at scale if the paper loaded in the printer is big enough or will otherwise be scaled down to fit the paper.

In-OS Print Button (AirPrint).

Print directly from your iOS device:

Open the document and tap the Share button.
Select the printer and number of copies. Tap Print.

Print a photo (.JPG):

For T730, T830, T920, T930, T1500, T1530, T2500 and T2530: In-OS Print Button (AirPrint).

Print directly from your iOS device:
1. Open the document.
2. Select the printer and number of copies. Tap Print.
For T120 and T520: HP Smart app.
1. Open the app (previously installed from the Apple Store).
2. Select the printer and the document.
3. Confirm that the right settings and number of copies are selected, and print.
