Effective December 05, 2023, HP is enhancing the BIOS on the HP 2020 notebook PCs.
The new software and BIOS updates are available for download from the HP Software and Driver Downloads page after the effective date.
HP EliteBook x360 1040/1030 G7 Notebook PC, HP EliteBook 850/840/830 G7 Notebook PC, HP ZBook Firefly 15/14 G7 Mobile Workstation, HP EliteBook x360 830 G7 Notebook PC, HP ProBook 650/640 G7 Notebook PC, HP ProBook 450/440/430 G7 Notebook PC, HP ZHAN 66 Pro 15/14 G3, HP mt22 Mobile Thin Client, HP ZBook Fury 15/17 G7 Mobile Workstation, HP ZBook Studio G7 Mobile Workstation, and HP ZBook Power G7 Mobile Workstation System BIOS have the following enhancements added:
Fixes an issue when when the fan speed set to 100%, always shows a failed result in UEFI Diagnostics.
Enhancement to support SMBIOS type1 version string for 'db' addition.
Enhancements to secure boot keys protection.
Fixes issue when the system cannot to create a POST Power-On Password, when “Create POST Power-On Password” is selected and the PIN provided by the “Phone App” is entered, after creating the BIOS Administrator Password with EBAM.
Fixes issue when the Power-On Authentication with fingerprint does not work.
Fixes an issue when the FUR GUI reports "Incorrect password was entered" when BIOS is flashed with correct password after setting up BEAM and BIOS admin password.
Revised the message of Non-HP Battery Detected (605).
Updates Intel UEFI Wi-Fi driver to 2.2.24.23283.
Enhancement to address security vulnerabilities CVE-2023-25756 and CVE-2023-22329.
Enhancement to support 5.15 GHz to 5.35 GHz band for all the SKUs.
HP EliteBook 855/845/835 G7 Notebook PC, HP ProBook 635 Aero G7 Notebook PC, HP mt46 Mobile Thin Client System, and HP mt32 Mobile Thin Client System BIOS have the following enhancements added:
Fixed an issue when an external monitor connected via docking cannot be detected.
Enhancement to support SMBIOS type1 version string for 'db' addition.
Enhancements to secure boot keys protection.
