Effective August 04, 2023, HP is enhancing the BIOS on the HP 2022 notebook PCs.

The new software and BIOS updates are available for download from the HP Software and Driver Downloads page after the effective date.

Fixes an issue causing the "Something went wrong" error during enrollment to Windows Hello fingerprint sign-in.
Fixes an issue when the incorrect message "Press and hold the power button, and then press the volume down button to unlock. (Or you can unlock by Ctrl+Alt+Delete)" is displayed during the Windows sign-in process.
Fixes an issue when the Targus 419 USB-C travel dock attached to unit, continuously cycles between connected/disconnected states when it is on battery.
Fixes an issue when the monitors connected in a daisy-chain configuration are not detected after resuming from sleep.
Fixes an issue when the HP Z27u G3 Monitor cannot be detected after resuming from sleep for shut down state.
Fixes an issue when the unit shuts down instead of restarting after BIOS update is completed via FUR, when connected to a docking monitor in DC mode.
Fixes an issue when the monitor connected to a dongle cannot be detected plugging in Type-C to HDMI dongle during sleep mode.
Fixes an issue when the BIOS cannot be updated when Enhanced BIOS Authentication Mode (EBAM) is enabled.
