HP LaserJet Pro MFP - Set fax polling

If someone else has set up a fax to be polled, you can request that the fax be sent to your printer. This is known as polling another machine.

Set fax polling

Follow these steps to set up fax polling.

From the Home screen on the printer control panel, touch the Fax button.
Touch the Fax Menu button.
Touch the Receive Options button.
Touch the Polling Receive button.
Use the keypad to enter the number of the fax machine that you want to poll, and then touch the OK button.

The printer dials the other fax machine and requests the fax.
