DESCRIPTION

USB 3.0 hub, Dock or Power Delivery (PD) monitor may not be available in Device Manager after a BIOS firmware update process. This is exhibited when the computer is connected to a Dock or PD monitor during the BIOS update.

This occurs due to unexpected behavior from the BIOS firmware update process. This is not platform specific and affects both Intel and AMD platforms.

RESOLUTION

To recover from this issue, unplug, then reconnect the dock or monitor again.
