HP Enterprise, HP Managed - Supplies status missing in third-party printer management software after upgrading firmware to HP FutureSmart 4.10

Issue

When using third-party remote management software, the supplies status is missing, not available, or not refreshing after upgrading the printer firmware to HP FutureSmart firmware bundle version 4.10.
Unable to view the percentage levels used or remaining and the following symptoms are likely present:
  • Consumables status missing, not available, or 0%
  • Fuser status missing, not available, or 0%
  • Staples or Stapler status missing, not available, or 0%
  • Supplies status missing, not available, or 0%
  • Toner cartridge status missing, not available, or 0%
  • Toner collection unit status missing, not available, or 0%
  • Transfer kit missing, not available, or 0%

Cause

Supplies OIDs normally included in the Printer MIB v2 prtMarkerSuppliesTable object (instance .1.3.6.1.2.1.43.11.*) are missing in HP FutureSmart bundle version 4.10.
When the third-party printer management software does not find the OIDs, the software is unable to remotely detect the supplies preventing the status or remaining supply levels (toner, fuser, transfer kit, staples, etc.) from being updated.

Solution

No solution is available at this time. HP Inc. is working on a solution and will provide the fix in a future firmware version to be released later in 2020.
When available, this document will be updated to reflect the latest release version.

Workaround

Print a Supplies Status page and then refresh the supplies view in the software.
note:
The following workaround provides an interim option to manually refresh the supplies information in the printer management software. If the printer power is turned off, the workaround must be reapplied.
