Solution

Adjust the print quality settings in the printer driver.
  1. Open the document you want to print.
  2. Open the HP PCL 6 printer driver you use to print and select the Paper/Quality tab.
  3. Change the Print Quality setting to the desired print quality level using the following settings and the corresponding dots per inch (dpi) resolutions as a guide.
    • For normal everyday print quality, select Normal (600 dpi).
    • For line art, architectural drawings, finger prints, and higher print quality, select Fine Lines (1200 dpi).
    • For informal draft documents requiring less toner, select Econo Mode (up to 600 dpi with visible toner savings).
