Install the optional printer stand

This document provides the procedure to install the optional printer stand for the following printers:
  • HP LaserJet Enterprise M506
  • HP LaserJet Managed M506
  • HP LaserJet Enterprise M507
  • HP LaserJet Enterprise MFP M527
  • HP LaserJet Managed MFP M527
  • HP LaserJet Enterprise MFP M528
  • HP LaserJet Managed E50045
  • HP LaserJet Managed E50145
  • HP LaserJet Managed MFP E52545
  • HP LaserJet Managed MFP E52645

Allow enough space around the printer to open all doors and trays.

  1. Press the Power button to turn off the printer.

  2. Disconnect the power cord and USB or network cable.
    For MFP models with fax: Disconnect the phone cord for the fax.

  3. Open the 550-sheet paper tray.
      caution:
    Do not extend more than one paper tray at a time.

  4. Lift the lever to unlock the paper tray.
    note:
    If multiple paper trays are installed, repeat steps 4 through 6 to unlock all of the trays.

  5. Walk to the rear of the printer.

  6. Press the lever toward the rear of the printer to finish unlocking the paper tray.

  7. Place all paper trays on the printer stand, and then place the printer on top of the paper tray.
      caution:
    HP recommends that two people move the printer.

  8. Open the door on the printer stand.

  9. Press down on the lever to lock the printer stand.

  10. Close the door on the printer stand.

  11. Open the tray.
    Figure : Open the tray
  12. Press down on the lever to lock the tray.
    note:
    If multiple paper trays are installed, repeat this step to lock all of the trays.

  13. Walk to the rear of the printer.

  14. Press the lever on the back of the printer stand toward the front of the printer.

  15. Press the lever under the back handle toward the front of the printer to finish locking the tray and stand.

  16. Lock the wheels on the printer stand.

  17. Reconnect the power cable and the USB or network cable.
    For MFP models with fax: Connect the phone cord for the fax.

  18. Press the Power button to turn on the printer.
