DESCRIPTION
The computer initializes incorrect functions when the Shut down option is selected. The issue also occurs when Hibernation mode is selected.
The computer may exhibit one or more of the following symptoms:
  • The screen locks automatically.
  • The OS boots directly to the Desktop.

RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, perform the following steps:
Change Windows power settings:
  1. Force a shutdown by pressing and holding down the Power button.
  2. Restart the computer.
  3. Sign in to OS to load Windows Desktop.
  4. Open the Control Panel.
  5. Select -> Power option -> C hoose what the power buttons do.
  6. On the left hand side select Change settings that are currently unavailable.
  7. Disable Turn on fast startup (recommended).
  8. Save the changes and close the Control Panel.
Change the BIOS power settings:
  1. Restart the computer.
  2. Press F10 during restart to enter the system BIOS.
  3. Select the Advanced tab.
  4. Select Secure Boot Configuration.
  5. Select Legacy Support Disable and Secure Boot Disable.
  6. Save the changes.
  7. Exit the BIOS.
