DETAILS OF CHANGE
  • Fixed an issue where the Windows activation key is erased when RTC battery loss is in manufacture mode.
  • Fixed a USB Redirection failure on computers with AMT support.
  • Fixed an issue with Silent BIOS Update when in legacy mode.
  • Fixed a BitLocker issue after the BIOS was updated.
  • Fixed an issue where computers were failing to boot to the operating system after clearing TPM2 in F10.
  • Removed the BIOS annunciation (beeping) feature throughout the BIOS update process.
  • Added a new Post Power-on Password setting via BCU.
  • Added an Automatic Drive Lock feature to the BIOS.
  • Added a BIOS option, allowing the user to trade off unit temperature for quieter fan operation.
  • Added a feature to log 90B errors.
  • Added new hotkey support for EliteBook 850 G3.
  • Added a DriveLock password on restart control option in the BIOS Setup menu.
  • Added a Launch Hotkeys without fn Keypress control option in the BIOS Setup menu.
  • Added new Japan keyboard support. (Enabled home/pg up/pg dn/end key support on the arrow keys.)
  • Fixed an issue where the USB Type-C PD FW update procedure would skip.
  • Updated the Intel Management Engine (ME) FW to 11.0.18.1002. (This update fixes some ME security issues and prevents BIOS/MEFW corruption issues that were susceptible in previous releases.)
  • Added the new DGPU VBIOS to support the new graphics memory supplier (Circus U only).
  • Improved security for the UEFI code and variables.
    note:
    HP strongly recommends updating to this BIOS version, which supersedes all previous versions.

HP recommends updating to the latest ME driver version to align with the latest ME FW.
