Use the following procedure to check for paper in all possible jam locations related to Tray 1. When a jam occurs, the control panel displays a message and an animation that assists in clearing the jam.

If jammed paper is visible in Tray 1, clear the jam by gently pulling the paper straight out. Touch the OK button to clear the message.Figure : Remove jammed paper from Tray 1

If the paper remains stuck, or if no jammed paper is visible in Tray 1, remove any remaining paper in the tray, and then close Tray 1 and open the right door.Figure : Open the right door
