HP Tablets - Finding the Model Number, Product Number, Serial Number, and Android OS Version (Android 5.0/Lollipop)

This document applies to HP and Compaq tablets with Android 5.0/Lollipop operating system.

Use this document to find the product and system information you might need for obtaining warranty information, service, or updates on your HP tablet.

The model number, product number, and serial number are located in one or more of the following places on your tablet:

• The serial number and product number are laser-etched on the side, top, or bottom edge of the tablet.

• The model number and serial number (SN) are displayed on a label affixed to the back of the tablet.

• The model number, serial number, and product number are printed on a service label affixed to the tablet packaging.

• The serial number can be found in the About tablet section of the Settings menu, using the following steps:
  1. On the Home screen, tap the All apps icon, and then tap Settings.
  2. In the System section, tap About tablet.

  3. Tap Status.

  4. Locate the Serial number listing.

Use the following steps to find the Android OS version on your tablet:

1. On the Home screen, tap the All apps icon, and then tap the Settings icon.
2. In the System section, tap About tablet.

3. See the information under Android version for the OS version installed on your tablet.
