Effective August 18, 2014, HP is providing a System BIOS update for HP EliteDesk 800 G1 Desktop Mini, HP EliteDesk 800 G1 Small Form Factor, HP EliteDesk 800 G1 Tower, HP EliteDesk 800 G1 Ultra-slim, HP EliteOne 800 G1 21.5-inch Non-Touch All-in-One, HP EliteOne 800 G1 All-in-One, HP ProDesk 600 G1 Desktop Mini, HP ProDesk 600 G1 Small Form Factor, HP ProDesk 600 G1 Tower, HP ProDesk 680 G1 Tower, and HP ProOne 600 G1 All-in-One PCs running Windows 7 and Windows 8.1.

HP System BIOS v2.33/1.33 contains the following enhancements:

Adds HP Security Enhancements
Adds support for configuring settings with remote manageability
Adds Ctrl-I hotkey suppression with RAID support
Rollback is restricted because of security changes

IMPACT OF CHANGE

Effective August 18, 2014, all HP EliteDesk 800 G1, EliteOne 800 G1, ProDesk 600 G1, and ProOne 600 G1 Series PCs loaded with Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 will begin shipping with the new indicated System BIOS version. HP strongly recommends updating all existing HP EliteDesk 800 G1, EliteOne 800 G1, ProDesk 600 G1, and ProOne 600 G1 Series PCs loaded with Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 to the upgraded System BIOS.
HP System BIOS v2.33/1.33 may be obtained from the Support and Driver pages for HP EliteDesk 800 G1, EliteOne 800 G1, ProDesk 600 G1, and ProOne 600 G1 Series PCs on HP.COM.

warning:
After installing this BIOS version onto the system, please be aware that flashing back to BIOS versions prior to v2.33/1.33 will not be supported because of the HP Security Enhancements.
