HP LaserJet Pro Color MFP M375, M376, and M476 - Print Two-Sided (Duplex) on A5 media

Introduction

The HP LaserJet Pro Color MFP M375, M475, and M476 printer models are capable of automatic two-sided (duplex) printing on letter, A4, and legal size media, but the paper path does not support automatic duplex printing on A5 size media. This document contains instructions to manually duplex print on A5 media.

Print two-sided (duplex) on A5 media

note:
Two-sided printing is not supported for certain media types, including transparencies, labels, cardstock, and glossy film. For best results, avoid two-sided printing with rough-textured, heavyweight paper.
  1. Make sure you are using the model-specific (not UPD) PCL 6 driver.
  2. Open Devices and Printers, right-click the printer, and then select Printer Properties.
  3. Click the Device Settings tab.
  4. Under Installable Options, select Not Installed from the Duplex Unit (for 2-Sided Printing) drop-down list.
  5. Click Apply and click OK.
  6. Send the print job to the printer and then manually feed the two-sided print job.
  7. When the A5 print job is complete, select Installed from the Duplex Unit (for 2-Sided Printing) drop-down list to re-enable duplex printing for letter, A4 and Legal size media.
  8. Click Apply, click OK, and then close Printer Properties.
