HP LaserJet Pro MFP - Scan by using the HP Easy Scan software (macOS)

Learn how to initiate scanning from a computer.

You can use HP Easy Scan on a macOS computer instead of the printer control panel.

You can also use the HP Smart app to scan documents and photos from the printer, capture items with the computer camera, or use the scan tools with files saved on the computer. By using HP Smart and pairing your printer with your HP account, you can access advanced scanning features, such as scanning to cloud locations.

Scan from a macOS computer

Follow the steps below to use HP Easy Scan.

  1. Load the document in the document feeder, or on the scanner glass according to the indicators on the printer.

  2. From the computer, open HP Easy Scan, which is located in the Applications folder.

  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to scan the document.

  4. When you have scanned all the pages, click File, and then click Save to save the file on your computer.
