HP Designjet 500, 510, and 800 Series Printers - Advanced Printer Options and Usability

Introduction

The Designjet 500, 510, and 800 series printers have advanced printer options that can increase the quality of prints, maximize the detail of prints, or increase the printer's speed when printing (800 series only). The information provided below, explains the advanced options and how to access and use the options.

Optimize for

  • Line drawings/text - Use this setting if you are printing line drawings or text. This setting smoothes angles and curves giving line drawings a sharper, crisper appearance.
  • Images - Use this setting for images when printing mixed lines and scanned color images or mixed lines and color photographs.

Maximum detail

  • On - Use this setting to view as much detail as possible. This setting increases rendering resolution. Printing will be slower.
  • Off - Use this setting if you do not wish to see all of the detail and you wish to speed printing.

Fast quality settings

Hinweis:
The Fast quality setting is only available on the 800 series printers.
  • Default - Default printer settings (normal)
  • Increased speed - Use this setting to increase the printing speed. The carriage will print at the increased carriage speed of 60 ips (inches per second). In this mode, colors may look less saturated and VLS (vertical line straightness) may be affected.
