If the scanner software is not completely uninstalled when using the Add/Remove Programs options, complete the following steps to remove the HP Scanner Software using the Windows CleanUp Utility:

Download and install the Windows CleanUp Utility, which is available on the Microsoft Download web page. Click here to download the Windows CleanUp Utility (http://download.microsoft.com/download/e/9/d/e9d80355-7ab4-45b8-80e8-983a48d5e1bd/msicuu2.exe).

Open the Windows CleanUp Utility by completing the following steps:

Click Start.

Click All programs.

Click Windows CleanUp Utility.

If you find any of the following scanner software listed in the Windows CleanUp Utility, remove it:

Solution Center
-
Scan
-
Scanner copy

HP Update
-
OCR software
-
EsupportQ folder

HP Product Assistant

Destination component

Device managementQ folder

Reboot the PC.
note:Unless the PC is rebooted, the software will still be present on the PC.
