You cannot change certain advanced print settings when using Windows 11 built-in print drivers, such as color, paper size and type, two-sided (duplex), and resolution.
To fix the issue, remove the printer from Windows and reinstall the latest built-in drivers.
With the printer on and connected to your computer, search Windows for and open Printers & scanners.
Select the name of your printer in the list, and then click
.From Printers & scanners, click Add device.
If your printer name displays, click Add device, and then wait for Windows to install the latest drivers.
If your printer name does not display, go to HP printer setup (Windows built-in driver) for help with setting up and connecting the printer.
If the issue persists, go to 123.hp.com to download the recommended HP print drivers.
For more information, go to Microsoft Learn - Some installed printers might only allow default settings (in English).
