HP PCs - Understanding the difference between Chrome OS 64-bit and 32-bit

Chrome OS 64-bit and Chrome OS 32-bit are both available on select HP PCs. The main difference between 64-bit and 32-bit systems is that the 64-bit systems can run more applications faster and with smoother transitions.

To run 64-bit applications, the processor and the operating system both need to be 64-bit.

A 32-bit system has a 32-bit operating system and either a 32-bit or a 64-bit processor. 32-bit systems can only access 4 GB of RAM, even if additional memory is available. 64-bit applications cannot run on 32-bit systems because they require more than 4 GB of RAM.
