Samsung Laser Printers - Uninstall a Printer in Windows 8

When the printer status is not correct or the printer will not print anything from the computer, completely uninstalling the printer and then reinstalling it might fix the issue.
Use these steps to uninstall the printer in Windows 8.
  1. Press the Windows and X keys on the keyboard at the same time.

  2. Click Control Panel.

  3. Click View devices and printers.

  4. Select the printer to uninstall, and click Remove device at the top of the window.

  5. A message displays to confirm the printer uninstall. Click Yes.

  6. After removing the printer, remove the printer driver as well. Press the Windows and X keys on the keyboard at the same time.

  7. Click Programs and Features.

  8. In the Programs and Features menu, click on the model printer driver and then click Uninstall.

  9. A message displays to confirm the driver uninstall. Click Yes and the installation wizard opens.

  10. In the installation wizard, select all the components in the list and then click Next.

  11. The printer driver is now uninstalled. Click Finish to close the installation wizard.

note:
After uninstalling the printer, the printer no longer displays in the Devices and Printers list. Go to Software and Driver Downloads and enter your model printer into the search text box to download the latest driver.
