DETAILS OF CHANGE
Effective June 1, 2017, HP is changing the software configuration on HP Z workstations that come with Windows 10. The new software addition and updates are being made available for download from HP’s support Web site for owners of existing Z440, Z640, Z840, Z238, Z240 Tower, Z240 Small Form Factor, and Z2 Mini G3 series workstations.

  • AMD Windows Unified Graphics Driver Package version 16.50.2701.1002 or later (HP Z440, Z640, Z840, and Z240 series workstations only)
  • CyberLink Power2GO version 8.0.3.7325 or later (HP Z440, Z640, Z840, and Z240 series workstations only)
  • CyberLink PowerDVD version 12.0.4.7013 or later (HP Z440, Z640, Z840, and Z240 series workstations only)
  • HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI version 6.2.1.0 or later (HP Z2 Mini G3 series workstations only)
  • HP Performance Advisor version 2.0.1510.0 or later
  • NVIDIA Quadro Professional Driver version 377.11 or later
note:
Windows 10 Creators Update (1703) will begin shipping on HP Desktop Workstations beginning July 2017.
REASON FOR CHANGE
  • AMD Windows Unified Graphics Driver Package: Enables Radeon Pro WX 4100 and Radeon Pro WX 7100 series graphics cards. The Driver installer/uninstaller interface is redesigned, relative to previous 15-series and older drivers and the settings management interface for the AMD graphics driver was radically redesigned. Added support for Vulkan API.
  • CyberLink Power2GO: Fixes broken characters in the customer registration window.
  • CyberLink PowerDVD: Fixes broken characters in the customer registration window.
  • HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI: Fixes an issue regarding USB ODD information displaying on the Storage Information page, diagnostics not identifying Micron SDD devices in RAID mode, and the component webcam test not being available on various platforms.
  • HP Performance Advisor: Fixes block diagram and configuration report issue.
  • NVIDIA Quadro Professional Driver: Resolves a potential blue screen issue with the P400 when waking from S3/S4. Resolves an issue with the K40c that wouldn’t allow entering into S3 if ECC was enabled on the card.
