HP LaserJet Pro, Ultra M203-M206 Printers - Printing Self-Test Pages

This document is for HP LaserJet Pro M203d, M203dn, M203dw, M118dw, and LaserJet Ultra M206dn printers.

This document contains instructions for printing self-test pages, including the Configuration Report and Network Summary, the Wireless Network Test Report, the Supplies Status page, the Service Page, and the Usage Page.

Print a Configuration Report and a Network Summary

The Configuration Report lists important settings and status information such as the printer IP address, paper settings, and supplies status. The Network Summary lists additional network information such as the network name, host name, and signal strength.

Turn on the printer.
Press and hold the Resume button on the printer control panel, and then release it when the Ready light blinks.

note:
Network Summary does not print for the LaserJet Pro M203d Printer.

Print a Wireless Network Test Report (M203dw printer)

The Wireless Network Test Report provides information about the printer wireless connection status. It also indicates any wireless connectivity issues and might explain how to fix them.

Print a Wireless Network Test Report in Windows

Open HP Printer Assistant, and then print a Wireless Network Test Report.

Turn on the printer.
Search Windows for laserjet, and then click the printer name in the list of results.

HP Printer Assistant opens.
Click Print, and then click HP Device Toolbox.
Click the Networking tab, click Wireless Configuration, and then click Print Test Report.

The Wireless Network Test Report prints.

Print a Wireless Network Test Report in OS X

Open HP Utility to access the Embedded Web Server (EWS), and then print a Wireless Network Test Report.

Turn on the printer.
Search the Mac for HP, click Hewlett-Packard or HP in the results, and then double-click HP Utility.

HP Utility opens.
Click Additional Settings, and then click Open Embedded Web Server.
Click the Networking tab, click Wireless Configuration, and then click Print Test Report.

The Wireless Network Test Report prints.

Print a Supplies Status page

The Supplies Status page provides supply level information for the toner cartridge and imaging drum.

Print a Supplies Status page in Windows

Open HP Printer Assistant, and then print a Supplies Status page.

Turn on the printer.
Search Windows for laserjet, and then click the printer name in the list of results.

HP Printer Assistant opens.
Click Print, and then click HP Device Toolbox.
Click the Home tab, and then click Reports.
Click Print next to Supplies Status, and then click OK.

The Supplies Status page prints.

Print a Supplies Status page in OS X

Open HP Utility to access the Embedded Web Server (EWS), and then print a Supplies Status page.

Turn on the printer.
Search the Mac for HP, click Hewlett-Packard or HP in the results, and then double-click HP Utility.

HP Utility opens.
Click Additional Settings, and then click Open Embedded Web Server.
Click the Home tab, and then click Reports.
Click Print next to Supplies Status, and then click OK.

The Supplies Status page prints.

Print a Service Page

The Service Page lists error events and current printer settings.

Open HP Printer Assistant, and then print a Service Page.

Turn on the printer.
Search Windows for laserjet, and then click the printer name in the list of results.

Click Print, and then click HP Device Toolbox.
Click the Home tab, and then click Reports.
Click Print next to Service Page, and then click OK.

The Service Page prints.

Print a Service Page in OS X

Open HP Utility to access the Embedded Web Server (EWS), and then print a Service Page.

Turn on the printer.
Search the Mac for HP, click Hewlett-Packard or HP in the results, and then double-click HP Utility.

Print a Usage Page

Print a Usage Page for information about the number of pages printed and the number of paper jam and mispick errors.

Open HP Printer Assistant, and then print a Usage Page.

Turn on the printer.
Search Windows for laserjet, and then click the printer name in the list of results.

Click Print, and then click HP Device Toolbox.
Click the Home tab, and then click Reports.
Click Print next to Usage Page, and then click OK.

The Usage Page prints.

Print a Usage Page in OS X

Open HP Utility to access the Embedded Web Server (EWS), and then print a Usage Page.

Turn on the printer.
