Use the following procedure to check for paper in all possible jam locations related to the left door (fuser area). When a jam occurs, the control panel displays a message and an animation that assists in clearing the jam.

Lift the release handle on the top of the finishing accessory, and then slide the finisher away from the printer until it stops.Figure : Separate the finisher from the printer

Open the left door of the printer.Figure : Open the left door

Push down to release the latch on the duplexer.Figure : Release the latch on the duplexer

Pull the duplexer straight out of the printer until it stops.Figure : Remove the duplexer

Open the jam-access cover.

Gently remove the jammed paper inside the jam-access area.Figure : Remove jammed paper from the jam-access area

Slide the duplexer into the slot until it locks into place.Figure : Reinstall the duplexer

Close the left door.Figure : Close the left door

Reattach the finisher.Figure : Reattach the finishing accessory
