HP DisplayPort

The HP DisplayPort provides high performance digital connectivity for use at work or home. Designed to replace the DVI, VGA, and HDMI connectors, DisplayPort can accommodate audio, video, Blu-ray Disc content, WQXGA+ Resolution, and other support features. The DisplayPort is also designed to be a space saving tool that can still deliver high resolution digital display, digital audio, and bi-directional communications.

HP DisplayPort fo DVI-I Adapter
To convert the DisplayPort connector on an HP Notebook or Workstation to a single link DVI-I port, the following adapter is required. The adapter has a latching DisplayPort connector on one end and a DVI-I connector on the other end for connecting to a DVI-I monitor cable.

The USB cable of the DisplayPort to Dual Link DVI-D adapter is for power only and should be connected to one of the system's rear USB ports. USB hubs may not provide sufficient power and are not recommended for use with this adapter.
