Use the photo cassette to load 4 x 6 inch (10 x 15 cm) paper. To print borderless photos, use 4 x 6 inch photo paper with a 0.5 inch tab (10 x 15 cm with 1.25 cm tab). This allows the photo to print without borders on three sides and with a small border on the bottom edge that can be torn off. HP does not recommend printing borderless photos on plain paper.
Also, remove any paper from the In tray
before inserting the photo cassette into the printer.

Lift the top cover of the printer and remove the photo cassette from the sheath (see figure 3 item 1).

Place up to 15 sheets of photo paper in the photo cassette with the side to be printed facing down. For tabbed paper, insert the paper so the tabbed end goes into the cassette first (see Figure 2).

Lift the main cover.

Slide the paper width guide all the way to the left.

Lift the Out tray and remove any paper that is in the In tray.

Line the photo cassette up with the far right edge of the In tray.

Gently slide the photo cassette into the printer until it snaps into place (see Figure 3).

Lower the Out tray.

Slide the paper width guide to the right until it cradles the photo cassette, then close the main cover.
