This document is for HP Thin Clients with Windows.
The HP ThinUpdate app allows you to download system images and software add-ons from HP, capture HP thin client images, create ISO files, and create bootable USB drives for image deployment. HP ThinUpdate comes preinstalled on some HP Thin Clients and is also available as an add-on.
Download and install the HP ThinUpdate tool to access the latest recovery images and software add-ons on Windows and HP ThinPro.
note:If the HP ThinUpdate tool is older than the factory image, you cannot restore the factory image version from the ThinUpdate tool. If this is the case, use the HP ThinState capture tool to obtain the image.
HP ThinUpdate is supported on the following:

Windows-based HP Thin Clients (Windows Embedded 7 or later)

Windows-based PCs (Windows 7 or later)
note:Some features are available only when the app is being used on a thin client or only when the app isbeing used on a PC.
