Replacing the Duplexer on HP Officejet Pro Single-function and Multifunction Printers
Learn how to replace the two-sided printing accessory (duplexer) on the HP Officejet Pro X451 and X551 Printers and the Officejet Pro X476 and X576 Multifunction Printers.

Part 1: Remove the used duplexer

Press the power button to turn off the product.

On the left side of the printer, press down on the latch at the top of the access door and pull the door open.

Pull the duplexer out of the product.
note:
Avoid making direct contact with the black cylinderto prevent ink smear on the skin or clothes. Keep the duplexer level to avoid spilling any ink.note:
Do not let the bottom of the duplexer touch or rest onthe ribs on the door. This could damage the ribs and might lead to paper damage and jams. -
Set the used duplexer aside.
Part 2: Install the new duplexer

Take the new duplexer out of the box and remove the packing.

Position the duplexer so it can slide straight into it slot inside the printer.

Carefully insert the duplexer into the slot.
note:
Make suer that the duplexer slides all the way into the slot. Do not force it. The duplexer should slide in easily. -
Close the left access door.

Press the power button to turn on the product.
