Configure Save to SharePoint® options
  • HP Flow MFPs and the HP Scanjet Enterprise 8500 fn1 have this feature.
  • For the HP Scanjet 7000n or 7000nx, this feature is enabled in FutureSmart 2 SP1 (March 2012) and newer firmware. To locate the firmware release for your unit, start Embedded Web Server, click the Information tab, and then click Configuration Page in the left navigation pane.
  note:
Before you can complete this procedure, the destination folder to which you want to save scanned files must exist on the SharePoint® site, and you must have write access to the destination folder.
  1. Open the Embedded Web Server.
  2. Click the Scan/Digital Send tab.
  3. On the left navigation menu, click the Save to SharePoint® entry.
  4. On the Save to SharePoint® dialog, select the Enable Save to SharePoint® checkbox, and then click Add.
  5. On the Set the button location for the Quick Set and options for user interaction at the control panel dialog, supply a title and description for the scan-to-SharePoint® quick set, supply a quick set title and description, select the button location for the quick set and options for user interaction at the control panel, and then click Next.
  6. On the SharePoint® Destination Settings dialog, click Add to create a new destination, and then follow the instructions at the top of the Add SharePoint® Path dialog.
    1. Using your browser, navigate to the SharePoint® scan destination folder, copy the destination path, and then paste the path into the SharePoint® Path field on the Add SharePoint® Path dialog.
    2. Make sure to select Generate Short URL to remove extraneous characters from the path name.
        note:
If you select Use credentials of user to connect after Sign In at the control panel in the Authentication Settings drop-down list, the logged-in user must have permissions to write to the specified SharePoint® site.
    3. When you have finished defining the SharePoint® settings, click OK.
  7. On the SharePoint® Destination Settings dialog, select the Verify folder access prior to job start checkbox if appropriate, and then click Next.
  8. On the Notification Settings dialog, select your scan status notification preference, and then click Next.
  9. On the Scan Settings dialog, select your desired scan settings, and then click Next.
  10. On the File Settings dialog, select your desired file settings, and then click Next.
  11. Review the Summary dialog and click Finish.
  12. On the Save to SharePoint® dialog, scroll to the bottom and then click Apply to save the quick set.
