Replacement Printer Instructions for HP Photosmart 5510 and 6510 e-All-in-One Printer Series

Introduction
When HP replaces your defective unit, some accessories or parts need to be transferred from the defective unit to the replacement product.
  note:
Please be aware that:
  • Some optional accessories may not be included with your product model.
  • Any optional accessories bought separately should be kept.

Instructions
  1. Prior to replacing or disposing of your defective unit, follow these instructions to ensure the right accessories are removed.
    a) Print Cartridges.
      warning:
    Do not return nor reuse the print cartridges. The replacement unit will include a new set of print cartridges.
      note:
    Make sure that the unit is plugged in and turned on before removing the print cartridges.
    • Open the ink cartridge access door.
    • Wait until the print carriage stops moving. Thereafter press the tab on the front of each ink cartridge and remove it from the slot.

    • Close the ink cartridge access door.
    Then, unplug the printer and keep the following accessories:
    b) Power cord
    c) USB (Universal Serial Bus) cord
    d) Memory cards
    e) Manuals and CD-ROM
  2. Transfer the accessories mentioned above from your defective unit to the replacement product.
  3. Apply power to the replacement product and test all product functions.
