Loading Paper and Envelopes for the HP Deskjet 1000 (J110), 2000 (J210), 3000 (J310), and Deskjet Ink Advantage 2010 (K010a) Printer Series

Introduction

This document provides instructions for loading plain paper, photo paper, and envelopes. For a list of the paper types that the product supports, go to the Product Specifications document (c02231304) (in English) on the HP Web site.

Loading plain paper

Follow these steps to load plain paper in the product.

If the product is not already on, press the Power button () to turn it on.
Lift the paper tray.

Lower the output tray, and then pull the tray extender out.

Slide the paper width guide to its outermost position.

Load unused, plain white, U.S. letter or A4 size paper in the tray with the short edge forward and the print side up.

Slide the paper width guide to the right until it stops at the edge of the paper but does not bend the paper.

Loading photo paper

Follow these steps to load photo paper in the product.

If the product is not already on, press the Power button () to turn it on.
Lift the paper tray.

Lower the output tray, and then pull the tray extender out.

Slide the paper width guide to its outermost position.

Load photo paper in the tray with the short edge forward and the print side up. If the photo paper you want to use has perforated tabs, load the paper with the tabs on top.

Slide the paper width guide to the right until it stops at the edge of the paper but does not bend the paper.

Loading envelopes

You can load one or more envelopes in the tray. Do not use shiny or embossed envelopes or envelopes that have clasps or windows.

If the product is not already on, press the Power button () to turn it on.
Lift the paper tray.

Slide the paper width guide to its outermost position.

Place the envelopes in the right side of the tray with the print side up and the flap on the left.
