HP iPAQ 600 Business Navigator Series - Setting up Different E-mail Accounts

Introduction
To send and receive e-mail messages for an e-mail account, you need to connect to the Internet or your corporate network, depending on the account.
You can send and receive:
  • Outlook e-mail
  • Internet e-mail through an Internet Service Provider (ISP)
E-mail in the Outlook e-mail account is sent and received through synchronization with a computer using a synchronization software or through wireless synchronization directly with an Exchange Server.
Internet e-mail is sent and received by connecting to a Post Office Protocol 3 (POP3) or Internet Message Access Protocol 4 (IMAP4) e-mail server.
Setting up e-mail using exchange server
You can set up your e-mail using exchange server.
  1. Tap Messaging > New E-mail Account.
Figure : Setting up new e-mail account
  2. Type your e-mail address in the E-mail address box.
  3. Clear the Try to get e-mail settings automatically from the Internet check box, to manually configure your e-mail.
  4. Tap Next.
  5. Select the Exchange server option from the Your e-mail provider list and tap Next.

  8. Type the User name, Password, and Domain on the Edit Server Settings screen.
  9. Select the check box for the items you want to synchronize, and tap Finish.
Creating a new POP3 or IMAP4 account
You must set up an e-mail account that you have with an ISP or an account that you access using a VPN server connection (typically a work account) before you can send and receive e-mail.
These steps will help you to create a new POP3 or IMAP4 account.
