HP iPAQ hx2000b Pocket PC series - Unit Unexpectedly Locks or Battery Drains Quickly
Issue:
Any customer with an HP iPAQ hx2000 series Pocket PC running Windows Mobile 5.0 may experience any of the following issues with his unit, when they use a Secure Digital (SD) memory card in it.
- Unit may intermittently lock up after it has been put into Standby and a soft reset is required to power on the unit.
- Battery drains very quickly.
- Unit becomes warm even when it is in standby mode.
Solution
These issues are resolved with the installation of a Firmware update, which is available for download from the below HP website. The Firmware update varies depending on the language version. This update resolves varies other issues also as mentioned in the download website.
