This document explains how to scan from a network connected printer.
note:
This feature is not available for printers that do not support the network interface.

Scanning from a Network Connected Printer

Make sure the printer driver is installed on your computer using the software CD, since the printer driver includes the scan program.
Use these steps to scan a document.
  1. Place a single document face down on the document glass, or load the documents face up in the document feeder.
  2. Depending on your printer model, use one of these steps:
    • On the control panel, select Scan, Scan to PC, then Network PC.
    • On the control panel, select the Scan to button, Scan to PC, then Network PC.
    note:
    If you see a Not Available message, check the port connection.
  3. Select your registered computer ID, and enter the Password if necessary.
    note:
    • ID is the same ID as the registered scan ID for Samsung Easy Printer Manager. In Samsung Easy Printer Manager, select Advanced Settings or Switch to advanced mode, then Scan to PC Settings.
    • Password is the 4-digit number registered password for Samsung Easy Printer Manager. In Samsung Easy Printer Manager, select Advanced Settings or Switch to advanced mode, then Scan to PC Settings.
  4. Select the option you want and press OK.
    Scanning begins.
    note:
    The scanned image is saved in the computer at C:\Users\users name\My Documents. The saved folder may differ, depending on your operating system or the application you are using.
