DESCRIPTION
Audio playback occurs through the notebook internal speakers instead of the external monitor speakers. This occurs when using an external monitor connected to the HDMI port.

SCOPE

RESOLUTION
Resolve the issue by uninstalling and re-installing the Intel Graphics driver:
Uninstall the Intel Graphics driver:
  1. Click Start > Control Panel
  2. Double-click Intel(R) Graphics Driver
  3. Follow on-screen instructions to complete the uninstallation.
Re-install the Intel Graphics driver
  1. Start > All Programs > HP Help and Support > HP Software Setup
  2. Select Intel 2014 HSW 64bit Video Driver
  3. Click Install
  4. Follow on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
