HP Officejet Pro 8600 e-All-in-One Printer Series (N911) - Display is in the Wrong Language after Setup

Issue

The language on the control panel is not the expected language.
Important: Make sure to remove the sticker on the control panel display.

Solution

Follow these steps to reset the language on the product control panel.

This video shows the HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus e-All-in-One Printer series (N911), but the steps are the same for your printer.

  1. On the product control panel, touch the Right Arrow ().
  2. Touch Setup (). The Setup menu displays.
  3. Touch the 5th option from the top (Preferences).
  4. Touch the 2nd option from the top (Language), and then touch the Down Arrow () to scroll through the languages.
  5. Use the arrow buttons on the right to scroll up and down through the list to find the your desired language.
  6. Touch the desired language, and then touch Yes. The Preferences menu displays again on the product control panel.
  7. Touch Country/Region.
  8. Touch the Down Arrow () to scroll to your country/region.
  9. Touch your desired country/region, and then touch Yes to confirm the selection.
  10. Touch the Home icon () to return to the main screen.
