HP Color LaserJet CP1215 and CP1217 Printers - Cannot Print in Color When HP LaserJet M1319f MFP is Also Installed on the Same Computer in Windows

Issue

All print jobs print in black and white when the HP LaserJet M1319f MFP is installed on the same computer as the CP1215 and CP1217 printers in Windows. Printing through M1319f MFP is unaffected.
note:
This issue is observed only when both the HP Color LaserJet CP1215 and CP1217 printers are installed on the same Windows systems. The order in which the printers are installed does not matter as long as both printers are installed on the same computer.

Solution

Use the following instructions to download and run the Restore Color Utility 32-bit software for the HP Color LaserJet CP1215 or HP Color LaserJet CP1217 from the product software download page on the HP Web site.
  1. Click here to go to the Software & Driver Download page on the HP Web site.
  2. Type your product model name in the For product text box, and then press Enter or click the gray arrow.
  3. Select the appropriate model number from the Search list.
  4. Select the appropriate operating system on the Select your operating system page.
  5. Select Restore Color Utility 32-bit on the Select software and drivers page.
  6. Click Download Only, and then follow the on-screen instructions to install the software.
  7. When prompted to reboot, select Yes to make effective the changes made by the utility.
