HP Designjet 120 Series Printers - Mac OS: Mac Raster Driver Versions 6.2 and 2.3

Mac OS X
This release of the Mac Raster Driver provides support for Rendezvous under Mac OS X.
To use the Rendezvous method when creating the printer from the Print Center, remember that the printer's Jetdirect card must have firmware release R.24.06 or later. The image of a sunflower that was on the Paper Type/Quality tab has been replaced by text reminding the user to perform color calibration.

Mac OS 9
The driver fixes two known issues under Mac OS 9:
  • When using QuarkXpress 4.x under Mac OS 9, the default margin settings were Double-sided safe margin and Roll printing margins. This may cause some clipping as it might not realized that for other applications the default is to turn off both these settings. With this new release the default is also to turn them off.
  • When selecting Foreground printing in Freehand 9, Word 98, Excel 98, or PowerPoint 98 under Mac OS 9 with version 6.1 of the driver, the application quits after finishing the print job correctly. With release 6.2 the application will not quit. It also replaces the image of a sunflower that was on the Paper Type/Quality tab with text reminding users to perform color calibration.

The Mac OS 9 operating system is based on 16 bits, therefore there is a limited amount of information that can had. The more resolution, the smaller the image that will be able to be printed. Depending on the settings selected in the driver, the maximum printable length varies.
  • If Photo Paper and High Resolution is selected, up to 27 inches can be printed.
  • If Photo Paper and Best is selected, up to 54 inches can be printed.
  • If any paper except Photo Paper using High Resolution or Best is selected, up to 54 inches can be printed.
  • For other combinations, printing up to 108 inches can be done.
