Lotus 1-2-3 version 4.01

You can neither print nor preview Lotus 1-2-3 files with the following page formats and sizes:
  • 841 mm 1188 mm (ISO A0) or larger
  • 34 inches 44 inches (ANSI E) or larger
There is a difference between Lotus 1-2-3 and the printer driver in the way they handle certain colors. When these colors are used for solid area fills, they are reported to the printer driver as a mix of colors to be mixed by the printer using a process known as "dithering." When these colors are printed they are not solid and appear to have a very fine pattern.
Issues exist that cause the orientation of some patterns to be printed differently than shown on the screen. Also, page sizes larger than ANSI-C may not print.

Lotus Ami Pro versions 3.0 and 3.1

To improve printing of hatch patterns, add the following line to the [AmiPro] section in the C:\WINDOWS\AMIPRO.INI file.
DefOptions1=2
If the document uses vector fonts (Modern, Roman, Script) you may see a difference in the printed fonts, if you change between Maximum Performance and Avoid Out of Memory in the Driver options, Advanced tab. To avoid such differences, use only TrueType fonts.
Windows 95 only: If the documents are printed using the wrong pattern fills, check the Print in background setting. If it is selected, this could be the cause of the problem. We recommend that you de-select this setting. To access the setting go to the Tools menu and select User setup then Options. The Print in background setting is in the User Setup Options dialog box.

Lotus FreeLance Graphics 2.0 and 2.1

To prevent unexpected results when printing in color, make sure the Adjust color library for color printing switch is disabled when printing.

Lotus FreeLance Graphics 96

The Printer Setup menu does not change printer configuration. The document configuration has to be changed from the Printers folder: select the printer and open the Document Defaults menu.
Extra lines may appear on the page if the document contains styled lines that span the page boundaries. To avoid this problem, make sure all the objects that include styled lines lie within the page.
