HP Designjet Printers - Monochrome Plot Appears Gray and Jagged

Issue:
What are some factors to look for if the colors are not coming out correctly on the printer when plotting from Windows? For example, when plotting something in blue, it appears bluish green.
Solution
See the following information:
  1. Verify the color cartridges are part number 51650C, 51650Y, and 51650M.
  2. Do a pen alignment on the printer to see if the colors match the pens.
  3. In Windows, go to the Main program group, open Control Panel, open Printers, select DesignJet 650C printer.
  4. Choose the Setup button, select the Options button.
  5. Check to make sure color smart is on Automatic in the Windows driver.
  6. If you check Manual in the Options screen, select the Color Control button and do a screen calibration in Windows.
